Jo runs a variety of art and crafts workshops for adults on a variety of topics including knitting, crochet, weaving, feltmaking, papier-mâché and fabric dyeing. There is a programme of courses and workshops running throughout the year, in and around St Ives.  Workshops run for either, 2 hours, half a day or a whole day.

Jo also runs workshops for children and young people and have worked with a number of schools and youth organisations (such as Brownies, teaching African Batik, Felt-making, Paper-making). This includes age groups from Infants through to Sixth Form.

Jo hosts the following courses:

  • Fabric Construction Techniques (5 weeks)
  • Fabric Dyeing and Decoration (5 weeks)
  • Beginners Weaving Without a Loom Course (6 weeks)
  • Get to Know Your Sewing Machine Course (10 weeks)

A non-refundable deposit is payable on booking, with the balance payable at the first session. No experience is necessary to attend any of my workshops and courses and all materials are provided.

Jo hosts weekly sessions to create a textile collage of buildings around St Ives Harbour and Wharf Road.

Knitting Group – Café Art

The knitting group meets in Café Art on Chapel Street weekly on Tuesdays between 3:30 pm and 5 p.m. Crocheters are welcome to attend this group.
