St Ives Sailing Club

St Ives Sailing Club was founded nearly forty years ago and has gone from strength to strength. For our members, we have a small fleet of Picos and Topaz’s, perfect for learning and developing sailing skills. They are available for use by new members and those not wishing to buy their own boat. St Ives Sailing Club also has a rescue craft that goes out every time we race.

Whatever your background or ability St Ives Sailing Club always welcome new members. The club tries hard to keep their membership fees down but, with the safety boat and tractor to fuel, maintain and insure, pen fees to pay, and grant funding hard to come by, the club have to levy fees which are outlined on their website. The club hopes that they reflect the facilities that different members will use.

St Ives Sailing Club is always on the lookout for assistance with crewing the safety boat as well as the many other aspects of running the club, so if you have a talent that would help or a desire to learn we’d love to help you make the most of it. The club can fund nationally recognised qualifications in the operation of Safety Boats, VHF Radios, and even taking on the role of Race Officer.
